Where Our Story Began
Zapurah began with a love for Bali. Its landscapes first drew us in, but it was the people, the craft traditions and the care put into handmade objects that stayed with us.
We wanted to bring some of that feeling to the table: pieces with character, made to be used and enjoyed rather than saved only for special occasions.
The Balinese Connection
Working with makers in Bali became an important part of our journey. Their skill and attention to detail helped us turn our ideas into table decor with its own personality.
Our connection with Bali continues to shape Zapurah, from the natural textures that inspire us to the combinations of colours and materials we choose.
Another Chapter: Our Love for India
As Zapurah developed, our collection grew beyond its beginnings in Bali. We also fell in love with India: a country with a very different energy, vibrant, expressive and full of colour. That contrast is something we love, and it brought a new source of inspiration to our collection.
We later added decorative cutlery from India to our range. Just as with our makers in Bali, the process is personal: we select the designs, colours and material combinations, and the pieces are then made by hand by skilled makers.
For us, India is more than another place of origin. Its colour and vibrancy bring their own character to Zapurah, alongside the natural textures and island inspiration that first drew us to Bali.

For our decorative cutlery, we develop the designs and choose the colours and material combinations. Skilled makers in Bali and India assemble the pieces by hand, giving our ideas their finished form.
Each collection has its own origins and character. What connects them is our love of thoughtfully chosen details and the care that goes into making something by hand.
